I've always loved my mom, and admired her, but I think I think my true appreciation of her really came about once I had daughters of my own. Its not easy being a mom and I never realized just how much I took it for granted that she would always be there for me and help me through all of my childhood, teen and adult troubles. I only hope I can be as good a mom to my daughters as she has been for me.

Thanks mom!!

And GORGEOUS apron!! Anyone would be lucky to win, and my fingers are crossed that its me!!

Being a mom is the hardest job out there. There's no 15 or 30 minute breaks every 2hours, there's no supervisor to give you feedback on how your doing, it's all about trial and error, but it's the BEST job on the planet!!! Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!

I have grown so much more respect and love for my mother over the last few months. I didn't think there was any way possible that I could love or respect her more but after watching her suffer and never complain for months I realized how amazingly strong she is.

An friend just turned me onto this blog, and I'm so in love! Anyway, about Moms... I've only been a mom for 16 months now. It's crazy stressful/scary/exciting/hilarious/rewarding all at once. This mother's day, more than any before, I have a greater appreciation and understanding for the how's and why's of all the things my mom did for us as kids.

"A mother holds her childrens hand for a while, their hearts forever."
I love this quote, but don't know who wrote it. Such a great quote, especially for mothers day.

When I was little my teacher asked us to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up. I drew a mother in an apron ironing and wrote, "I want to be a plain old mom" AND I LOVE IT! (I sure wish I could find that picture I'd frame it on my wall).

Three boyhood friends and I spent hours collecting & piling high anything that would burn in front of an old pig pen. When we lit the pile on fire, one friend was trapped inside, by the huge flames. All of the mothers in the neighborhood, still in their aprons, drug a hose as far as it would reach, then formed a 'bucket brigade' and put out the fire. Punishment was postponed until Dad's got home from work.

Being a Mom is challenging and wonderful, but being a grandma is just plain wonderful.

synopsis of a joke: Man is on survivor and his trials are: get kids up & dressed, feed them, make lunch, get them to school, get them after school, get them to their different practices for soccer and piano, get home, cook dinner, help with homework, get clothes ready for next day, etc. The judges were children and the man failed. Why? Because only a Mom can do all of those well.:)

I cannot imagine life without my mom! She is my best friend and I talk to or email with her EVERYDAY!

Right now she has taken on the voluntary job of being my marketing manager. She tells everyone about my Etsy Shop, hands out my biz cards, and shows off my work. She is even having a garage sale and setting up a special table with all of the creations I've made her and my biz cards...what more could I ask for!

Btw...I LOVE your aprons! I'm such a messy cook and could really use one of these :)

My mother is so wise and always gives me so much good advice, I can only hope to be that type of mother. I hope I'll be able to do the same for my kids.

My mom has made me excited to be a mother. She is the most amazing mom ever and I'll never compare to her, but I'm thrilled to start trying! (I'm due the end of June).

My Mom's awesome! I have severe health problems - and even though I'm married and out on my own and all that - she still is always willing to do whatever she can to help out me and my hubby.

Every year my brother's & sisters & i would each acrefully choose the Mother's Day Card for our Mom. We had an unspoken contest - whoever made her cry the most won! She was in on it - and would try so hard not to cry, but usually by the time she got to the 3rd one, it was all over!
Happy Mother's Day!

My mom is amazing, and is always there in tough times. She is my example, and I pray I can be more like her.

LOVE your stuff Kristin, seriously. So darling.

Thanks for letting me know about your giveaway! The apron is beyond adorable.

One thing my mom taught me was to always wear mascara in public so people don't ask you if you are tired or sick...and she also taught me to always, always look for someone to serve.

I'm really anxious to become a mom! My mother has been my best friend all my life and I hope to be half as good a mom as she has been to me.

My mom used to leave me little notes if she had to leave the house before I woke up. I have a whole collection of them. She would often draw little stick figures of us. One of my favourites was a note to tell me she had bought some bacon so I could make some on the weekend. She wrote, "There's some bacon in the meat apartment." Her little English mistakes are the cutest ever!

My mom has instilled in me the art of creating something beautiful from fabric. I never dreamed that I would touch and feel fabric the way I saw her do as she wandered through a fabric store. Now we do that together!
